Why are these gifts a good choice for Her and Teens? Some ladies like to show off nails with beautiful nail polish, and some colors certainly pop out better than others! Compliments on the nails can certainly make the day a little better for some gals. For others, nail polish is like makeup that enhances one’s appearance and improve the confidence and in effect the self-esteem as well. It’s a nice and simple gift to give, that is usually not too pricey. The main thing to consider is whether the Birthday One likes the color and would wear it or not. It might look good for the giver, but receiver may not like it. It is a gift that giver should consider only if they know the Birthday One well.
In my opinion, it would be mainly teenage girls who would like nail polishes to try on with a new look or to share with the girlfriends, but some teenage boys may also like if they have certain colors that represent themselves.
Not all ladies like nail polishes. I, myself am not a big fan. Before giving as a birthday gift, observe whether the Birthday One has worn any nail polishes in the past, and if they have, what colors they may like. Some may like colors that pop out, some may prefer more standard colors if the dress code is strict at their workplace.
Some nail polishes have unique names. If colors are not the target, you can purchase based on the names and make it a cute gift for the Birthday One.
Where can you get nail polish? Anywhere! Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, grocery stores, online are some of the many places that sell nail polishes.
For fancier nail polishes, you can also go to Sephora, Ulta, or professional salon supply places.
If you are on a budget, try the dollar store! You may be able to find some nice colors at the dollar store. You can also buy a package with several nail polishes and split them up to give as gifts to more than one Birthday Ones. Stores such as Ross, Marshalls, HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, and Burlington sometime have nail polish packages.
**NOTE OF CAUTION: Nail polishes are made with various chemicals. If the Birthday One shows signs of allergy or uncomfortable wearing any nail polish, they should seek medical help.
